“Minesweepers” is the first international outdoor robotic competition on humanitarian demining that aims at raising the public awareness of the seriousness of landmine contamination and motivating researchers and developers to work on innovative solutions for this serious problem.
This year, the Egyptian regional round takes place at Alex University, Alexandria from August 3 – 5, 2018. The winners will compete again representing Egypt at the international finals at IROS 2018 in Madrid, Spain, from October 1 – 5, 2018.
Deadline for submitting this form is July 5, 2018.
Note: It is recommended to be from Alexandria.
The volunteers’ team is divided into three committees:
Committee:
A. Logistics:
1- Ushers:
- Guide Teams to & from teams’ area and arena.
- Guide teams & attendees to service needed.
2- Registration – Info:
- Welcome attendees.
- Make sure they registered.
- Hand over the welcome swag, if any.
- Hand over the identity tags if any.
- Reply to teams’ inquires.
- Collect all current data for teams’ area – presentation.
3- Area:
- Help teams for internal inquires.
- Supply teams with logistics requirement.
- Make sure that teams ready to compete.
- Deliver teams to ushers.
4- Field:
- Deliver teams to ushers.
- Maintain Arena periodically.
- Serve the team with logistics requirements.
- Manage the times’ turns.
5- Judge assistant:
- Reply to judges’ inquires.
- Deliver scores for technical mapping judge.
- Make sure that teams are ready to start.
6- Presentation Panels:
- Make sure that panels are ready.
- Reply to judges’ inquires.
- Manage panels’ time.
- Data update for registration team
- Receive teams from ushers.
B. Marketing:
1- Photographers:
- Take shots and videos.
- Deliver photos to social media team.
